Footage no one else has
From 2015 to 2019 we filmed Pune's hills, river edges, flyovers and new suburbs, and the people fighting over them. Many of those places are gone.
In 2027 we return to the same frames.

A city on trial
Plans, headlines and archive footage are laid out like evidence. Old television sets replay what the city chose to forget.

How it works on screen
Maps become evidence
Plan sheets, satellite mark ups and headlines, matched to the street and to the people living there.

Creator
Amar Kulkarni
Architect and urban planner with more than ten years in urban governance, sustainable mobility and climate policy, including work embedded in Indian state governments.
He reads a Development Plan and a satellite image as easily as a transcript.

Beyond the screen
Check your own street
A public map of reserved open spaces and what happened to them, released with the series.
Screenings with resident groups, schools and planning colleges in each city.
Each episode ends with a next step: read your ward's plan, file an RTI, join the people already fighting.
